In 2024 Pesaro will shine like never before. This splendid location on the Adriatic coast has been proclaimed Italian Capital of Culture, a title that celebrates the relationship between art, environment and technology.

• What is Capital of Culture? The Italian Capital of Culture initiative was established in 2014. The aim of this event is to promote projects and activities to enhance both tangible and intangible Italian cultural heritage.

• How do you become Capital of Culture? The assessment of the nominations is carried out by a jury, composed of seven independent experts, who, following the “auditions” of the finalist cities, recommend the name of the City to the Minister of Culture, providing an appropriate justification.

• How will the city be transformed? Pesaro is preparing to share a cultural journey with the whole provincial territory. The city will focus on “creative doing”, gathering artists, artisans, entrepreneurs and active citizens.
